Shool visit: learners from Kgagatlou High School
Nyakallo Mokoena
Smiles and laughter filled the air on 5 May as learners from Kgagatlou High School in Lebowakgomo in Limpopo visited VUT.
They were given the opportunity to see university life in action, gather information on how the university operates, the different courses it offers and to get application forms.
It all began with a welcome given by one of the representatives from student recruitment, Mr Phillip Masike, who then introduced Mrs Dimakatso Jingela, Recruitment Officer to explain the application process further.
After the presentation, a tour was conducted by the interns Vincent Nkaota and Nyakallo Mokoena. They split the learners into two groups where girls followed Miss Mokoena and the boys followed Mr Nkaota. The learners were shown where the different faculties are located, where they are able to study, relax as well as where they can get transport to their residences.
After the tour, refreshments were served with a quick word of thanks, followed by a group photo shoot and a farewell from the organisers.
