Sr. Elleanor Moloko, a dedicated Professional Nurse based at the Vaal University of Technology’s (VUT) Campus Clinic, specializes in Primary Health Care for both students and staff. She is an integral member of the Health Professionals team, boasting exceptional interpersonal skills that facilitate effective communication across all levels. Sr. Moloko is deeply passionate about fostering health within workplaces and comprehending the tangible impacts of non-communicable diseases on employees.

Her educational achievements showcase her commitment, including degrees in General Nursing, Community Nursing, Nursing Administration, Occupational Health Nursing, Safety Management, and more. As an active member of the COVID-19 TASK TEAM, she spearheaded initiatives for remote work arrangements for vulnerable employees and conducted training sessions on COVID-19 protocols. Throughout the pandemic, she cared for isolated students and monitored staff in isolation to ensure their safe return.

Beyond her clinical role, she offers emotional support to staff facing psychological challenges and managed medical care for participants of the Umkhonto and AZAPO Veterans’ computer training program. Sr. Moloko’s contributions have earned her accolades for emergency management in Netball and dedication on National Nurses Day. Her current focus involves managing communicable and non-communicable diseases, promoting reproductive health, and aiding VUT events. She conducts physical assessments and addresses health-related issues among students.

Notably, she plays a crucial role in tackling gender-based violence through the VUT Gender-Based Violence forum’s awareness initiatives. Her Organisational skills extend to events like Valentine’s Day and ongoing campaigns such as flu vaccination drives and blood donations. Striking a balance between work and personal life, she engages in self-care routines like exercise, attending church, and spending time with family. Sr. Moloko is committed to empowering women, underscoring their capabilities and economic rights.
