DOUBLE CELEBRATION AS TWIN SISTERS GRADUATE WITH DIPLOMA IN INDUSTRIAL ENGINEERING

Witnessing twin sisters being conferred with a Diploma in Industrial Engineering was one of several   breath-taking moments during   the Vaal University of Technology (VUT)’s 2022 Autumn graduation ceremony on 16-20 May.

Limpopo born twins, Takalani Tshipiliso and Thendo Faith Tshipiliso enrolled for the industrial engineering diploma offered by the VUT Faculty of Engineering in 2019.

Shortly after walking the stage the the Tshipiliso twins highlighted that studying during the pandemic was challenging but sharing the same DNA code and having the same vision helped them complete their industrial engineering diplomas in record time.

“This is a stepping-stone towards realising our dream of becoming Industrial Engineers. Considering that this is a complex, male-dominated profession, we regard this as an extraordinary achievement, not only for us but all young ladies out there,” said the ladies.

Currently, one of the twins is doing internship at Transnet while both are pursing advanced diplomas in the same discipline at VUT.   Together, they continue to navigate the field of engineering, making their dream a reality. “The goal is to specialise in data analysis in the near future,” said the twins.

The twin graduates believe the journey to success is achieved through faith and discipline. Success entails enduring with oneness.
