Dr Nelana has been appointed to the CHE reference group

Dr Simphiwe Nelana; Director: Research and Higher Degrees at VUT has been selected to be a member of the Doctoral Studies Reference Group at the Council for Higher Education (CHE). CHE is in the process of reviewing all doctoral programmes, in this role Dr Nelana and other Reference Group members are expected to play a crucial role in the development of a national benchmark standards, the scope of work of the review and to provide expert advice to the CHE as and when necessary.

“I feel honoured to be part of this esteemed group of academics charged with the responsibility of reviewing all Doctoral programmes at our universities. I look forward to the challenge that comes with this opportunity”, he said.
