This is the proud, exciting moment that family and friend cherish with their loved ones. The faculty of Applied and computer science had their 2019 autumn graduation on Monday, 8 April where they confirred ten (10) Magister Technologiae degrees to graduates.
Amongst the graduates was Khomotso Setlhare, a 31 years graduate who was confirred with the Magister Technologiae in Biotechnology. She said that this was the most difficult journey of her life as a mother, wife, student and a Microbiologist at Randwater, but she made it through the support of her family.
Ms Setlhare said that no matter how challenging it was, she sends a big thank you to her family, colleagues, supervisors, and friends for the support that they gave her.
“Not only close people supported me but also Dr Neil Leat who is now in New Zealand helped me to go through with my M-tech, I appreciate every role that everyone played in my life, this was the first time I felt that I am a student, I have bruises to show how I sweated to hold this M-tech today and I am so proud of myself” said Ms Setllhare.
She further said that no matter how taught it was but it was worth it, she ended her words by saying if she had made it, it’s possible for others do it, all they have to do is just to ‘dream it, believe it and do it’ then they can succeed. Ms Setlhare pushed her dream, believed in it and today she enjoys the fruits of her hard work.
