The Vaal University of Technology (VUT) had the honour of welcoming a distinguished guest on Wednesday during its graduation ceremony. Mr Murendeni Nndanduleni, popularly known by his traditional title Musanda<\/em>, from Mangaya Village in Venda, Limpopo Province, attended the event to celebrate his younger brother\u2019s academic achievement, a powerful reminder of the importance of family, unity, and educational excellence.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

More than just a proud brother, Musanda<\/em> is a visionary leader and social changemaker. He is the Founder and Executive Chairperson of the Musanda Foundation, a non-profit organisation committed to inspiring and motivating young South Africans about the transformative power of education.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Currently pursuing a PhD in Governance at the University of the Witwatersrand, Musanda’s journey stands as a compelling testament to resilience and hope. His academic path has not been without challenges, including financial hardship, pressure, and limited access to study materials. Yet, through it all, he remained steadfast in his pursuit of knowledge, using his story to uplift others along the way.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The Musanda Foundation actively travels the country, with a strong focus on rural and disadvantaged communities. Through motivational talks, workshops and outreach programmes, the foundation encourages young people to see education as a key to opportunity and self-empowerment. Its mission is clear, as Musanda passionately says, to \u201cmake education fashionable.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n

His presence at VUT was both a personal celebration and a symbol of education\u2019s transformative potential. His life\u2019s work resonates strongly with VUT\u2019s core values: academic excellence, community engagement, and the empowerment of youth.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

VUT commends Musanda for his outstanding contributions to leadership and education. His visit marked more than just a family milestone; it was a source of inspiration for the entire VUT community.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
