Originally from Tzaneen in Limpopo, she has demonstrated determination and adaptability, successfully navigating her studies despite personal challenges. Her achievement highlights the role of support systems and perseverance in higher education.

Ms Phosho explained that Human Resource Management was not her first choice when she enrolled at the University. However, as she progressed through her studies, she developed a genuine interest in the field and began to appreciate its relevance and opportunities. “At first, it was not my preferred option, but as I continued, I grew to understand and enjoy it, and it expanded my knowledge,” she said. She added that the field is well suited to individuals who can work effectively with people and manage organisational relationships.

During her academic journey, Ms Phosho faced challenges related to a hearing impairment, which made it difficult for her to fully engage in lectures, particularly before she had access to a hearing aid. Despite these obstacles, she remained committed to her studies. She noted that receiving her hearing aid significantly improved her learning experience and allowed her to participate more effectively in class. “It was difficult at first, but things improved once I had the support and the necessary resources,” she said.

She credited her classmates, lecturers and close friends for providing consistent support throughout her studies. Their assistance helped her keep up with academic requirements and remain motivated during difficult periods. In addition, she acknowledged the role of her family, particularly her mother, who provided emotional support and encouragement. “My mother was always there for me, especially during challenging times, and she encouraged me to keep going,” she said.

Ms Phosho is currently pursuing advanced studies and plans to continue her academic journey. She expressed an interest in progressing to postgraduate qualifications in the future.

Her graduation represents not only the completion of a qualification, but also the ability to adapt, persevere and make use of available support. Her journey reflects the importance of resilience and collaboration in achieving academic success.

“Lethabo Phosho celebrates her graduation from VUT, overcoming hearing challenges and demonstrating resilience in Human Resource Management studies.” 24 April […]

[47

post-35939","post","type-post","status-publish","format-standard","has-post-thumbnail","hentry","category-latest-news-vaal-university-of-technology
["GET
