Schneider Electric, in partnership with F’SASEC VUT, successfully delivered an Industrial Installation (level 2) training session on 26 September at the F’SASEC VUT premises. The training, which was headed up by Mr Chris Kotze from Schneider Electric Midrand, benefitted at least 20 students from the training centre.
The training was aimed at equipping the students with basic industrial wiring (how to wire a motor starter panel in a typical factory).
Mr Kotze was impressed that the F’SASEC VUT students were intrigued and eager to learn more. He said they were most cooperative and asked questions pertinent to the training. He enjoyed heading up the training and would love to visit again as he felt a clear rapport with students.

He said: “The students’ eagerness and enthusiasm to learn more to better their knowledge of electricity motivates me and confirms that the F’SASEC VUT truly has great engineers in the making”.
Mr Potego Morwamotshe, a laboratory assistant at the F’SASEC VUT, expressed much faith in the students. He said that the training gave students an insight into the field work involved in electrical engineering. He noted that the training was a combination of both the old and the advanced models of wiring and that “the students are now well-equipped in both models when they face the mechanical engineering field”.

This training will also be of benefit to the students as they head towards their practical exam on industrial wiring in early November.
