As of 30 May 2024, the lives of forty (40) local youth will never be the same again. This, as they received their certificates after completing a One-year Artisan Engineering Course with the French Southern African Schneider Electric Education Center (F’SASEC) of the Vaal University of Technology (VUT).
The graduation ceremony, the twelfth under the centre’s belt was a testament to the firm commitment of the F’SASEC program to providing quality education and empowering local unskilled and unemployed youth, thereby affording them better employment prospects.
The event was graced by the presence of distinguished guests, esteemed faculty members, proud families, and the graduating class, all of whom came together to celebrate this momentous achievement.
As the graduates put on their caps and gowns, a sense of pride and accomplishment filled the air, reflecting the countless hours of study and personal growth that each student had undergone during their academic journey.
Sekhu Pontsho, a graduate, reflected on his one-year completion program, stating that N3 was the most challenging part of the journey, but he managed to overcome it. For his fellow students, he offered the advice to not take things lightly, emphasizing the importance of dedication and perseverance.
As these graduates turn the page to the next chapter of their lives, they go forth as shining beacons and living testaments to the transformative power of dedication, perseverance and a thirst for knowledge.
