Panellists of the HR Accreditation

The SA Board for People Practices (SABPP) visited the Vaal University of Technology (VUT) from 26-28 November to conduct a quality audit with a view to renew the accreditation status of the Department Human Resource Management.

The panel consisted of academics from other Higher Education Institutions, HR professionals from industry and representatives from the SABPP. After pursuing the evidence provided by the department, the panel interviewed academic and support  staff as well as students and visited the library and teaching venues

Dr Pierre Joubert, HoD: HRM expressed his optimism that the outcome of the audit will be positive despite the various institutional deficiencies identified by the panel. He stressed that the purpose of the exercise is developmental and that the Department is looking forward to implementing new and improved practices in the new year.
