Human Science hosts its 11th Research Seminar

The 11th Human Science Faculty Research Seminar, that covers a wide range of interesting topics, was held on 3 August at Stonehaven on the banks of the Vaal River.
In her welcoming address, Professor Riana van der Bank, Executive Dean of the Faculty of Human Sciences, said: “It is an opportune time to renew partnerships and networks and discuss problems of mutual interest in research.”
The event was graced by the presence of Professor Bennie Grobler, an Emeritus Professor at the University of Johannesburg, who gave a talk titled: The crowing of the rooster causes the sun to rise! Issues of directionality and the importance of questions in research.
The seminar had different speakers from the Human Science Faculty presenting on different research topics. The audience engaged with the presenters in a question and answer session after the presentations.
