Recruitment team lifts VUT’s flag high
VUT recruitment practitioner and Gauteng Provincial Chairperson for CEIA, Ms Mathete Koali

The Vaal University of Technology’s Recruitment team attended the International Recruiters Conference, where one of their recruitment practitioners, Ms Mathete Koali was selected as Gauteng Provincial Chairperson for the Careers Exhibition and Information Association (CEIA).
Ms Mathete’s responsibility will be to coordinate all the exhibitions in the Gauteng Province which will give the university great exposure to learners. Her vision is in line with the CEIA vision which is to provide quality career information that will contribute to each and every learner who wants to continue with their tertiary studies.
Mathete said: “It is a privilege for me to be part of the CEIA and this will also allow the image of VUT to stand out as it will assist us as a recruitment team to target top learners within the provinces.”
She further said that she will introduce new recruitment strategy to the university with the recruitment team, this will also give a university a platform to recruit top learners in the province. It will also enhance the relationship that we have with all three districts in the province
The Vice-Chancellor and Principal of VUT Professor Gordon Zide sent a message of appreciation by congratulating Ms Mathete: “This is in recognition of your excellent work in this field. You have equally made VUT proud. What more can we say other than: Well done! Your success is VUT’s pride. We congratulate you for hoisting the VUT flag high,” he said.
CEIA is an association that was formed 21 years ago by public relations, recruitment and student liaison officers. Its duties are to exhibit career information to learners from Grades 9 to 12 as well as youth in various sectors.
