The award is received by students who obtained the highest average in their Faculty for the National Diploma. Ms Baloyi, not only obtained the VC’s Award, she was also awarded the Council Award, which is a House of Roleen Floating Trophy for the Overall Best Student. This award is given to the student with the highest average on a completed qualification at the University. Because of her hard work, her name will now be added to the history books of VUT. She said ‘’ I never took criticism from my peers as criticism, but I took it as a motivation that will keep me going forward and never looking back.’’ Such achievements should serve as a motivation for students from the Faculty of Management Sciences as this has never happened before.
