Tshepiso centre gives back to the community

The Tshepiso Centre of Excellence within the Visual Arts and Design Department hosted a group of ladies from the Sharpville Centre of the Aged on the June 28.
The ladies were invited as part of a follow-up meeting to a one that was hosted last year, and which they enjoyed. In this particular one they were taught hand-sewing skills, including embroidery designs and decorative stitches.
Nicole Coetzee, lecturer in Visual Arts and Design, said they believed the ladies would not only have a great time with them but would also take home skills that would benefit them in their households and communities.
The training was facilitated by Thereze Scholtz and Nicolene Coetzee.
