VUT Postgraduate student heads to Aalen University in Germany as part of student exchange program

Pertunia Ntombizodwa Shabalala, postgraduate student in Information Technology (IT) at Vaal University of Technology (VUT), has been selected for the Baden-Württemberg Scholarship (BWS) to study at Aalen University in Germany for the Winter Semester 2024/2025, beginning September 2024.
Hailing from Soweto, Pertunia’s journey to this prestigious opportunity is a testament to her resolute determination and outstanding academic performance. As the first member of her family to attend university, she views this scholarship as not only a significant milestone in her academic career but also a source of inspiration for her siblings and community. “I would like to convey my profound gratitude for being selected for the student exchange scholarship to Germany,” Pertunia expressed. “This scholarship is a powerful source of inspiration for my siblings and others in my community.”
