VUT prepares for its annual Open Day

Ambition and drive: Learners at last year’s Open Day

Vaal University of Technology will host its annual Open Day on Saturday, 13 May 2017 at the VUT Vanderbijlpark campus.

The event, which aims to educate prospective students on career choices and the University’s offerings, expects Grade 10, 11 and 12 learners from across the country to attend under the guidance of parents and teachers.

Invitations have been sent using different mediums such as advertising (newspapers and radio broadcasting), career exhibitions and rapid school visits to reach the targeted audience.

Prospective students will be given the opportunity to learn more about the programmes offered by the institution and the different technological facilities available.

This event will assist students to choose their career paths and thus contribute to the scarce skills that the country sorely needs.
