VUT FM 96.9 is the community radio station of Vaal University of Technology, broadcasting from Vanderbijlpark and connecting the university with the wider Vaal community.
The station delivers a dynamic mix of music, news, current affairs, education, lifestyle, sport and community-focused content, creating a platform for conversations and stories that matter to its listeners.
Established in 1998, VUT FM has grown from an engineering student project into a recognised campus and community broadcaster with a strong youth, education and community-development focus.
Broadcasting on 96.9 FM, VUT FM reaches students, young people, businesses, public institutions and communities across the Vaal region. Its programming reflects the diversity of its audience through English, Afrikaans, Sesotho and isiZulu.
More than a radio station, VUT FM provides practical opportunities for aspiring media professionals through broadcasting, journalism, production, work-integrated learning, internships, volunteering and community reporting.
