It’s all systems go for VUT Autumn Graduations

It is that time of the year once again when Vaal University of Technology celebrates its autumn graduations. It is a time when the university is able to showcase what it has contributed, not only to the higher education sector, but also to the country, continent and world at large.

VUT boasts 2748 graduates who will have degrees conferred upon them during 12 ceremonies to be held between 13 and 17 April 2015 at Desmond Tutu Great Hall. This number includes 21 master’s and two doctoral degrees.

The leading faculty of Management Sciences, produced 1041 graduates, followed by Faculty of Engineering with 710 graduates, Faculty of Humanities with 356 graduates and the Faculty of Applied Science with 350 graduates. The graduation celebration will also be held at VUT’s satellite campuses in Kempton Park on 21 April, followed by Secunda on 22 April and finally in Upington on 23 April.

VUT is proud to announce that the total number of graduates include international students who hail from Botswana, Zimbabwe, Nigeria, Cameroon, Congo, Namibia, Lesotho, Swaziland, Zambia, Malawi and Equatorial Guinea.

During these graduations, VUT will also confer post-graduate certificates in Executive Leadership to the Public Administration Leadership and Management Academy (PALAMA) graduates from the Faculty of Management Sciences.

PALAMA is currently known as the National School of Governance (NSG) and VUT is privileged to have been accredited to offer the certificate for government officials.
