VUT All Ready and Prepared for 2018 Autumn Graduations
It is that time of the year, once again, when Vaal University of Technology (VUT) celebrates its Autumn Graduations. A time of celebration, a time when the university is able to showcase what it has contributed, not only to the higher education sector, but also to the country, continent and world at large.
VUT boasts a total of 2 701 graduates who will have Diplomas and Degrees conferred upon them during 13 ceremonies to be held between 9 and 13 April 2018 at the Desmond Tutu Great Hall, this number includes 26 Master’s Degrees.
The Faculty of Applied and Computer Sciences will open with their graduation ceremony on Monday morning at 10h00 followed by the second session at 14h00. The faculty with the largest number of graduates is Management Sciences and they will hold their ceremonies on two separate days, Tuesday, 10 and Wednesday 11 April, followed by the Faculty of Engineering and Technology on Thursday and the Faculty of Human Sciences closing off the graduation ceremonies at the Vanderbijlpark Campus on Friday, 13 April. VUT will also confer post-graduate Diplomas in Higher Education from the Faculty of Human Sciences on Wednesday evening.
VUT sites of delivery will host their graduation ceremonies the following week, with Secunda Campus (Highveld Ridge) on 17 April, Ekurhuleni Campus on 18 April and Upington Campus on 19 April.
VUT is proud to announce that the total number of graduates include international students who hail from various countries across the continent such as Botswana, Zimbabwe, Nigeria, Cameroon, Congo, Namibia, Lesotho and Swaziland to name a few.
