Department of Human Resource Management
The Department of Human Resource Management is one of the four departments in the Faculty of Management Sciences, at the Vaal university of Technology which is situated at Vanderbjlpark.
The department offers five programs with the diploma in HRM as its only qualification at diploma level. The Human resource management qualification is offered from the diploma, Advanced, Postgraduate until Masters’ level. We are offering a Postgraduate in Human Resource Development, a Postgraduate diploma in Labour relations management and a Master of management in Labour relations management. Our PhD is in Business administration. We also offer an Advanced diploma in Management, Postgraduate diploma, Masters’, and a PhD in Business Administration. The Department of HRM is offering programmes that are HEQSF aligned and SAQA accredited. Furthermore, the programs offered in the department are SABPP accredited and are aligned with its standards.
The vision of the HRM department and Program Qualification Mix (PQM) are aligned with the VAAL UNIVERSITY OF TECHNOLOGY 2033 strategic plan, the government’s National Development Plan 2030 (NDP) which incorporates the following key characteristics of the fourth industrial revolution:
