Alumni get together to network

On Friday, 3 May 2019, an alumni network session was held at Vaal University of Technology’s Sisonke restaurant for students to get to know each other better.

The event was mainly for students to share ideas and experiences about their working conditions, challenges they face in their academic lives, how to resolve the issues in order to achieve their goals and also to inspire others.

“If you want to go fast, go alone but if you want to go far don’t go alone,” said Mr. Comfort Madalane, the Alumni Coordinator, Corporate Affairs Department. He emphasised that it is imperative for students to always remember where they come from and not to forget why they are here. “Being exposed to a university environment is not easy; it has its challenges. Therefore, it’s vital to be open-minded and always willing to work with others.”
