Synopsis: “Conversation with SADC curators: Flagship projects 2021-2023.”
Throughout the ages, it has always fundamentally been the core function of artists and curators to develop art projects and produce artworks that reflect society’s values, culture, social norms, economics, politics amongst others. In the past three years the creative or cultural industry has been recovering from the disruptions of the Covid 19 pandemic worldwide. In this setting, we have invited three curators from the SADC region into a conversation on their flagship projects that have an impact on national importance issues in their respective countries during the recovery period of Covid 19 between 2021-2023. The focus is on art gallery, museums, and community centres curators from the SADC region to unpack and engage the concepts behind their flagship projects, processes, and benefits to their communities in general and specific to visual arts/creative arts communities.
