On 9 April 2025, the Vaal University of Technology (VUT) conferred a Diploma in Human Resource Management, under the Faculty of Management Sciences, to Mr Tumelo Denis Ramabolu. It was a proud moment not only for him, but also for the Student Representative Council (SRC), where he serves as Secretary General.
Mr Ramabolu began his academic journey in 2019 and, after years of dedication and service, finally graduated in 2025. He is a living testament to the saying, “dreams delayed are not dreams denied.” Despite the challenges, he remained committed to both his academic pursuits and his leadership responsibilities.
“It has been a tough and long journey to finally obtain my qualification,” he shared. “As a selfless person, student issues have always been my priority. I wanted to lead by example and see all students reach this graduation stage.”
Throughout his tenure as Secretary General, Mr Ramabolu balanced his studies with active leadership, demonstrating resilience and unwavering commitment. He credits his SRC experience with equipping him with vital life skills such as time management, conflict resolution and public speaking.
Students across VUT expressed excitement and pride in seeing one of their own walks the graduation stage; a leader who, in their eyes, has cleared the path for others to follow. His presence and contributions have shaped the student experience, and many were present to celebrate this milestone with him.
The institution extends its heartfelt congratulations to Mr Ramabolu. His exceptional leadership and dedication have left a lasting impact on the VUT community. As he embarks on the next chapter of his journey, we look forward to witnessing the great things he will achieve for the country, always carrying with him the spirit of the Mavuti family.
