Graduating from university is a significant milestone in every student’s life, and the achievements earned carry special meaning. Vaal University of Technology (VUT) exemplifies that leadership is not just a word but also an action. The Student Representative Council (SRC) President, Mr Nkosinathi Nkosi, has successfully navigated academic challenges and dedicated time and effort to advocate for the needs of his fellow students.

Mr Nkosi was among the many accomplished graduates VUT honoured on 10 April 2025. Mr Nkosi is a leader who has excelled academically and shown unwavering dedication to serving the student body. He enrolled at VUT in 2020 and graduated today with a Diploma in Public Relations Management. His graduation is not merely the result of academic achievement; it is a testament to his natural abilities and the practical experience he has gained through his leadership role.

VUT has witnessed Mr Nkosi championing student voices, advocating for their needs, and working tirelessly to create a more inclusive and supportive campus environment. He wisely said, “You cannot lead them if you do not love them.” One of the most significant challenges he faced was balancing the demands of academic coursework, assignments, and tests with the responsibilities of being SRC President. This included attending numerous meetings, addressing student grievances, organising events, and always being available to support the student body.
