Fruity Love-Day pampers staff members

On Monday, 25 February, an event celebrating love for the Vaal University of Technology (VUT) staff members was hosted by HR, IHAU, the Library and the Occupational Health and Safety Department.

in the foyer of the Desmond Tutu Great Hall.

The Love-Day event, under a theme of Red&White, was to celebrate self-love, show love to other people and to encourage wellness amongst staff members.

“The overall goal was to inform, support and empower employees to take ownership of their wellbeing and alleviate the impact of their daily tasks and personal problems.”

A variety of fruits were served to the staff to promote healthy eating as it keeps the mind and body fresh and rejuvenated.

A lucky draw was held after the day’s activities and the seven lucky winners were:

3. Ananias Motseathebe – Project and Services
4. Elizabeth Motshepe – Cleaning Department
5. Mapaseka Molelekoa – Garden and Services
6. Teboho Mofokeng – Garden and Services
7. Lazarus Mosala – Gardening

The winners took home a goodie bag packaged by the VUT Library.
