Judicial officer, Miss Vuyokazi Ntloko further explained the consequences that a student can face when caught contravening examination or test rules and regulations.
Students were made aware of the punishments/sanctions, such as being suspended from the University for a minimum of 12 months and expulsion.
Two students who were once found guilty through the student disciplinary process shared their testimonies. They shared their experience about the disciplinary process and the trauma associated with attending a disciplinary hearing.
Both third-year students, one studying Information Technology and the other Safety Management. They encouraged other students to take full responsibility for their studies and ensure that their time is well managed in order for them not to find themselves on the bad side of law which can destroy their careers. They emphasised the fact that “success does not come easily, hence hard work and dedication to your studies helps and equips you to be a better person in the future”.
