In a heartwarming display of sibling dedication and academic excellence, twins Ms Ngobeni Amukelani and Ms Ngobeni Gift graduated together at the Vaal University of Technology (VUT) during the April 2025 graduation ceremony. This remarkable achievement is a testament to their hard work, perseverance, and unwavering support for one another as they both obtained their Diplomas in Labour Law under the Faculty of Human Sciences.
From the early days of their academic journey, they have been inseparable. They pursued their studies side by side, often studying and supporting each other through the ups and downs of university life.
“We’re thrilled to have achieved this milestone together,” said the Ngobeni twins in a joint statement. “Our time at VUT has been an incredible experience, and we’re grateful for the support of our family, friends, and university community. Even though we faced financial difficulties initially, that did not diminish our love for the journey of completing our diplomas,” they shared.
They began their studies in 2022 and completed them on time despite their many challenges.
As they embark on their future endeavours, they are excited to continue their studies and pursue careers as professional lawyers. “You have to be ready to have sleepless nights and never make the mistake of going to bed without studying,” they both shared.
Their graduation is a true reflection of their dedication, hard work, and the power of sibling support.
VUT congratulates the Ngobeni twins on their graduation and wishes them all the best in their future endeavours. Their achievement inspires students and graduates alike, demonstrating the value of perseverance, teamwork, and family support.
