The Examination at the Vaal University of Technology (VUT) issued certificates to students who were due to graduate in April 2020 at the VUT Isak Steyl Stadium from Monday, 14 to Thursday, 29 October 2020.
Both Ms Phuti Pela and Ms Thandiwe Jim were among such graduates. They completed their B-Tech Degrees in Human Resource Management (HRM) with Cum Laude. They were delighted when they collected their certificates on Friday, 6 October 2020 even though they could not walk across the stage to show off their achievements due to the COVID-19 lockdown regulations. Ms Pela explained that she almost gave up her studies when her father passed away in May 2019 but managed to overcome the challenge through perseverance and hard work.
Both students confirmed that putting a lot of effort into their studies helped them to ultimately prosper and acquire their qualifications. They were both excited when they finally received their hard-earned certificates and celebrated their achievements.
